Evangeline Samuel: "Give honour to whom honour is due" [OPINION]

So a lot has been said about the overzealous attitude of some of our so called "men of God" and their propensity for self aggrandizement and God minimalism. You can read about the original post here. 

Below is an EMU students candid opinion on what she has been observing in some of our 'churches'. Read on...

"Give honour to whom it's due" why do 'we' miss up this proverb?! in the aspect that.... why do we worship our pastors and priests in the name of *worshiping God* and *giving honour to whom its due*. brethren... lets refer to the story of Moses. most of us knew he didn't enter the promise land but who knew why?! some believe it's disobedience but it wasn't only that,God also told Moses to call Aaron and before the people speak to the rock. He called the people and with Aaron as God told him ... instead of speaking* to the rock .. he did strike the rock with his staff twice.that is disobedience yes ! and again He took the praise to him when he said and i quote "Listen you repels! do *WE* have to get water out of this rock for you?[Numbers Chapter 20 vs 10 & 11 | Goodnews Bible]" 

Moses gave the praise to himself instead of to God and that cost him not entering the promise land. Now most of us play same exact act. We take the Glory of God to ourselves forgetting He used us. You are Moses of our time YES, working miracles but forgetting to give God the Glory...and some of us act like Israelites ... falling at the throne of pastors and priests worshiping them as if they are God. 

Watch and mind how you praise a man gifted by God. He is not God! He can never be God. Give God all the glory and thank Him for using His servants! Remain blessed. Amen!!
